Rick McClure

Chief Executive Officer / Board Member

Rick has more than four decades of experience in the electric utility industry, including 25 years transforming Utiliserve, a small regional utility products distributor and division of HD Supply, into the largest distributor serving the electric utility industry. He has led businesses in private, private equity, and publicly traded environments. With significant expertise identifying, qualifying, and assessing manufacturers of utility products, Rick has participated in the acquisition of more than 30 different companies. His extensive industry relationships in the United States with distributors, utility customers, suppliers, and representatives allow PGC to create a differentiated utility products business.

Keith Mayer

Chief Financial Officer / Board Member

Keith has over 25 years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing and distribution, with a proven ability to drive financial rigor and operational excellence. Before joining PGC, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Kele, a leading distributor of peripheral control products for building automation systems. During his tenure, he also held interim roles in sales, marketing, and operations, developing a well-rounded perspective on business strategy and cross-functional leadership. Keith is recognized for his expertise in enhancing financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and streamlining monthly reporting processes. A specialist in big data analytics, he leverages data-driven insights to support informed decision-making and foster organizational efficiency.

Rob Johnson

Chief Operating Officer / Board Member

Rob joined PGC in 2019 with nearly 35 years of experience serving the power equipment utility industry. Over the last 20 years, Rob held multiple leadership positions at Lapp Insulators, including Managing Director, COO, and President, as he and his team developed and executed strategic plans that led the company to over 200% growth. With expertise in all areas of business enterprise and in-depth operations, product design, and customer service experience, Rob's leadership of PGC’s operations is a perfect fit for our strategic growth. Prior to Lapp Insulators, Rob worked at Westinghouse and ABB in various leadership, engineering, and finance roles.

Brian Berner

Chief Technology Officer

Brian joined PGC in 2022, after spending more than 25 years in the industry developing new products and services to meet electric utility needs. He served as COO for Southern States, where he founded several new businesses and led teams in the development of innovative, patented products. At PGC, Brian uses his deep experience to accelerate and expand development efforts within our portfolio companies, seeking nothing less than to change the world for the better.

Tom MacDonald

Chief Sales Officer

Tom joined PGC in 2023 with 35 years of experience serving the electric utility industry. Before PGC, Tom led the project services group at Irby Utilities, which introduced him to the engineering procurement and construction of solar and wind farms as the company brought green power to population centers. He also served as Vice President of Sales for MacLean Power Systems, where he integrated the sales and marketing of several acquisitions to build MPS into the global leader it is today. Tom uses his extensive experience to support PGC’s portfolio companies as they formalize their sales and marketing strategies.

Rob Joseph

Chief Human Resource Officer

In various leadership roles over 25 years, Rob has demonstrated a deep commitment to developing robust HR strategies, fostering transformative workplace cultures and enhancing employee engagement. His experience spans strategic HR leadership at a Fortune 50 company to steering HR functions within the industrial distribution, retail, and operations sectors. Rob’s expertise in talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and operational excellence provides a comprehensive and forward-looking direction to our HR, ESG, and EHS initiatives as we continue to grow and excel in the energy sector.

Ryan Glenn

Vice President, Business Development and Financial Planning

Ryan joined PGC as Vice President of Business Development and Financial Planning in 2024. Previously, he served as Vice President at Blackstone in New York, leading the portfolio valuation and analytics teams for Blackstone Energy Transition Partners and Blackstone Infrastructure Partners. Before joining Blackstone in 2018, Ryan worked as an Associate in JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Corporate Client Banking group, focused on the energy sector. He brings expertise in finance, strategy, and business development to his current role, focusing on strategic mergers and acquisitions, new business initiatives, and special projects supporting PGC's operating divisions.

Melanie McNary

Vice President, Human Resources

With more than three decades of experience in human resources, Melanie is an accomplished business person with expertise in organizational effectiveness, change management, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. Before joining PGC in 2021, she held HR leadership positions with companies such as BLOX, Protective Life, and Building and Earth Sciences. With PGC, she provides strategic HR oversight for our company’s sub-brands. Melanie’s numerous industry accolades include being named to Positive Maturity’s Top 50 Over 50, recognition as the Most Outstanding Alum in Management by the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and designation as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources.

Glen Malin

President, Allied Bolt

Glen has worked at Allied Bolt for 37 years, serving as President for the last two decades after succeeding his father. As the company’s leader, he oversees all operations, with a current focus on product development and streamlining internal processes. Ensuring Allied Bolt grows in sales, reach, and customers guides his everyday activities and decision-making. Several of Glen’s inventions are patented in the United States and China, and he created the first drop wire clamp solely designed to handle a fiber optic drop cable.

Chris Faust

President, ITEC

Chris joined Instrument Transformer Equipment Corporation as President in October 2022. He began his career as an international sales engineer and product application specialist for Hipotronics, a high-voltage test and measurement equipment manufacturer, and eventually led the transformation of that business as its General Manager. He has held commercial, engineering, and operational leadership roles at Hubbell, MacLean Power Systems, and Columbus McKinnon. With over 30 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing, Chris specializes in enterprise growth via operational transformation, strategic new product development, and key customer engagement.

Rick Stanley

President, Newell

Rick is a highly regarded expert and thought leader across the electrical insulator industry. For more than a decade, he has been a member of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), where he has served as the Co-Chairman of the Insulator Section, been actively involved in IEC TAG TC36, and participated in various working groups. Additionally, Rick has served as a Representative and Co-Chair of the ANSI C-29 committee. Prior to his role at Newell, he was President of Newell Porcelain Company.

Greg Smith

President, Meister

Greg has been involved in manufacturing and distribution for the electrical industry since 1992, serving in various leadership roles. As Director of Sales and Marketing for Eger Products, he increased sales by 20% annually on average. In less than three years as President of Alcon Connector, he was responsible for streamlining production and increasing throughput, resulting in a 400% increase in sales. And in seven years as President of Meister International, he has expanded the product line and more than doubled sales. With his vast knowledge of the electrical industry, Greg works with the supply chain to meet the needs of customers quickly and efficiently.

Steven Donahue

President, Royal

Steven has spent his entire career in power substation or manufacturing businesses that support the electric grid. Prior to becoming President of Royal in 2024, he served the company as Vice President of Engineering and Engineering Manager. Earlier career milestones include posts at Hubbell Power Systems and Southern Company. In his current role, Steven combines involvement in day-to-day engineering work at Royal with leadership on larger strategic initiatives such as a comprehensive product quality evaluation. His long-term vision is to make Royal the preeminent supplier of high-voltage switching products by adding value at every phase of the customer experience.

Jean-Guy Lacombe

President, Vizimax

A serial entrepreneur for over 40 years in the fields of energy, electronics, telecommunications, and information technology, Jean-Guy has founded, acquired, and contributed to the sales growth and profitability of several highly successful companies, including Datagram, Presticom, and InterTrade. He excels at building teams that design, develop, and deliver sustainable products on time and on budget. Adept at implementing strategies at all levels of large organizations, Jean-Guy guided the successful IPO of Datagram in Canada and the second offering of ACT Networks in the United States. As President of Vizimax, he focuses on making the company a key player in industrialized, functional switchgear solutions for the grid.
