Powering Progress Since 1952: The Legacy of Elliott Industries

Elliott Industries has been a trusted name in custom-built, high-performance pad-mount electrical equipment for over seven decades. Established in 1952, the company has become a vital partner to electrical utilities, industrial operations, commercial enterprises, and original equipment manufacturers nationwide. Known for its precision- engineered solutions, Elliott Industries delivers primary metering stations, switchgear, fuse gear, secondary bus enclosures, and a wide array of specialized power distribution products. The company also produces advanced cycloaliphatic epoxy apparatus bushings and insulators, tailored for air-insulated systems.

Patricia Elliott Willcox has been the driving force behind Elliott Industries' success and heritage for nearly five decades. She started helping out with the family business in high school and went on to co-run it with her brother Ken. Patricia's tale is one of perseverance and unyielding commitment to the family business. Patricia reflects on her career, discussing the electric industry and sharing what is so special about Elliott Industries and PGC's connection to it.

Rooted in Family, Built to Last

Patricia's emergence into the business was a natural evolution: "I first joined the business in 1977, working in high school. Elliott Industries has been in my family all my life, so it seemed to be a natural part."This line has defined Patricia's working life, an unbroken thread through decades of transformations and developments. What was a family tradition under her father's leadership has become a thriving, innovative business under the energetic leadership of a sibling partnership.

A Sibling Success Story

Patricia credits much of Elliott Industries' ongoing success to the strong bond and vision she shares with her brother, Ken. "My father worked very hard and dedicated his life to ensure the success of Elliott Industries," she says. "It’s been a joy to work with my brother. I believe we have made a great team and have made significant improvements to the business."

The duo has focused on bringing the product and the people who produce it to a higher level, constructing a positive company culture that adopts high performance, quality, and service. "Ken and I have, for the most part, been like- minded in our business philosophy," Patricia explains. "Great customer service as well as high-quality products have continued under our leadership. We have made it a priority to help develop a positive work culture and take care of our employees."

Looking Ahead: Growth and Opportunity

With Elliott Industries now a member of the PGC family of businesses, Patricia feels optimistic about the future. "I am most excited about the growth opportunities available to our employees," she says. "PGC cares not only about growing the company as far as revenue but also providing opportunities for employee development." This people-focused approach aligns perfectly with the values that have guided Elliott Industries since the beginning: dedication to customers, community, and teammates.

Shared Values, Shared Vision

Like Elliott, the PGC family of companies is committed to providing high-quality products to its customers as well as being employee, customer, and community-minded.

Elliott Industries and PGC recognize a shared philosophy rooted in people, proving that true success is measured by more than financial performance. Success is also measured by the strength of their relationships and the positive impact they make with their customers, employees, and community. From supporting local initiatives to cultivating respectful and rewarding workplaces, both companies strive to be stewards of their communities and advocates for their employees' growth and well-being.

“My brother Ken and I are thrilled that our company has joined the PGC family,” said Patricia Willcox, President of Elliott Industries, Inc. “Over the years, we have developed a strong relationship with Rick and the PGC team. As we considered the future of Elliott, it became clear that PGC was the perfect partner, given their commitment to enhancing and investing in businesses while focusing on quality, reach, and customer service. We are confident that PGC will maintain our high standards and continue to deliver outstanding products and services to both our loyal customers and those we aim to attract in the future. I also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated employees, sales representatives, distributors, suppliers, and especially our customers for their unwavering support, trust, and loyalty to Elliott over the years.”

Community engagement has always been important to the Elliot family, and PGC’s approach mirrors that sentiment. It reassures that the Elliot legacy of service, whether to customers or employees, will be carried forward with the same integrity they’ve championed for decades.

“The Elliott family has built a trusted brand over several decades, developing a well-earned reputation for product quality, reliability, and customer service,” said Rick McClure, CEO and founder of Power Grid Components. “We are committed to preserving the Elliott brand while leveraging our resources to drive innovation and growth.”

What Sets Elliott Industries Apart

Elliott Industries has built a reputation that is second to none in the business for the accuracy of its products and the honesty behind them. "We are known throughout the industry for the quality of our products and the customer service we provide before and after our product ships," Patricia says proudly. We go above and beyond to make sure the customer receives the product they expect and the quality they deserve.” From warehouse floor origins to fueling growth strategy, Patricia Elliott Willcox's tale is one of the family's long-term fortitude, quality, and vision. Through success and acclaim, there is one strength that refuses to bend: the need to serve excellence to every customer, always.

Built on Shared Values: Quality, Reliability, and Relationships

The shared values and commitment to excellence form the foundation of Elliott Industries and Power Grid Components (PGC) partnership and continue to guide their vision for the future. As Patricia Elliott Willcox reflects on what has driven Elliott’s decades of success, her insights speak directly to the cultural alignment between the two companies. The Elliot name has always stood for something more than just a product.  It’s this belief in long-term trust-building that mirrors PGC’s own customer-first philosophy.  "From my experience, truly getting to know your customers and helping them solve problems is the backbone on which to build a business,” Patricia adds.

Together, Elliott and PGC are forging ahead with the enduring values of ensuring that every solution delivered is backed by integrity, craftsmanship, and a genuine investment in the people they serve.
